Hearthwick welcomes pitches about weeknight cooking in small kitchens, especially ideas that make space, time, ingredients, or compact equipment easier to work with.
The kind of pitch we can use
Send a focused proposal with a working title, the central idea, and a brief account of what a reader will take away. We welcome practical explanations, thoughtful kitchen observations, flexible meal ideas, and clear discussions of trade-offs. A strong pitch has a distinct subject and does not depend on extravagant equipment or a sprawling workspace.
Keep it specific
Tell us which part of small-kitchen cooking your idea addresses and why it deserves its own piece. Be candid about the basis for any claims, and avoid promises that a particular approach will suit every cook or kitchen.
Send a proposal
Use the Contact page to share your pitch. Choose the editorial question option and include your name, email, and proposal in the form. Please send a proposal rather than a finished article unless we have agreed otherwise.
